Buffalo Ridge is spectacularly positioned on the Tweedepoort Ridge overlooking the plains and inselbergs of the Madikwe Game Reserve. A uniquely designed ‘Treehouse’ style lodge offers space, comfort and views forever, a kitchen that is renowned for its sumptuous cuisine, and chalets of charm and character.
The central lodge is accessed via a wooden bridge surrounded by Rock Figs . The lodge perched on 4 tiers from reception to lounge and dining areas and the swimming pool. Each living area has its own character, mood and style offering guests a choice of breath-taking views and tranquil spaces. Whether you are relaxing in the lounge, the lower or upper deck areas or at the pool, you will find a space that suits your mood.

LUXURY
THATCHED CHALETS
Our en-suite chalets are separated from the Central Lodge itself. Buffalo Ridge has eight luxury, thatched chalets extending along the escarpment and overlooking the bushveld below. Each has its own private viewing deck, each decorated in natural hues of colour and texture, offering a private and luxurious experience.
Each chalet is large and spacious designed to make the most of the spectacular views across the reserve. With sliding doors from each room and shower to the outside deck, our guests can experience a personal and intimate encounter with nature.

The main lodge is spectacularly located on two tiers of the ridge, accessed via a wooden bridge that crosses a ravine surrounded by rock figs. Each of the living areas has its own character, mood and style providing guests with a choice of breathtaking views and tranquil spaces. The lodge has reception, dining, lounge, upper and lower deck and swimming pool areas.
